Act your way into a new way of thinking

In her book Working Identity, Herminia Ibarra has a quote from Richard Pascale's book Surfing the Edge of Chaos that stuck with me.

"Adults are much more likely to act their way into a new way of thinking than to think their way into a new way of acting."

Isn't that the truth? We so often get so caught up in trying to create a new reality in our heads that we forget to simply start taking action to make it happen.
