I was writing something about affirmations the other day, and when I scanned back through what I had written I saw that I had made a typo. And I liked the typo so much, I decided to keep it and declare it a new word. What is it?
I have always had a bit of a dicy relationship with the whole idea of affirmations. On the one hand, I completely believe in the power of the mind to create the reality we experience. On the other hand, I think a lot of the time affirmations end up being little more than a wish-upon-a-star activity. Warm, fuzzy, but pretty ineffective at creating any substantial change.
Combining affirmations with action on the other hand, can be incredibly powerful. I see affirmations as creating the space for a new reality to unfold, while actions actually fill that space.
So affirmaction is the action you take to help turn an affirmation into reality. To affirmact is to take that affirmation supporting action.
So what reality do you want to create in your life? What affirmations will support that? And most importantly, what affirmactions do you need to take to make that happen?
