100 days of practice

Sunday nights I have started going to a tai chi class. Last Sunday, the teacher encouraged us to start 100 days of practice. The basic idea is to commit to doing 5 minutes of some form of meditation every day for 100 days, with the intent of wearing a groove in your brain for that habit to hang out.
Here's what I absolutely love about this idea. It's DOABLE! There's nothing daunting about committing to five minutes a day, even for 100 days. It's small enough that I can jump in freely without resistance. And more importantly, keep doing it consistently.
Of course, that idea has any number of applications when it comes to starting to add something positive to your life. What positive change do you want to make in your life? What new habit do you want to create?
Rather than jumping into it feet first and hoping you can stay afloat long enough to learn to swim, how could you introduce it on a small scale? Let's say you want to start journaling, for example, but you're just convinced you don't have the daily discipline. Rather than committing to an hour every morning, how about five minutes every day. If you find yourself wanting to write more, feel free, but if not, just stay with it for that five minutes.
Or maybe you're not the healthiest eater and the closest you come to vegetables in your diet is a bag of potato chips. Rather than committing to be an uber-health-nut, what if you just committed to having one serving of the vegetable of your choice each day?
Develop the small habit, then build on it.
What could you do for 100 days?
