The Feng Shui of procrastination
Following on from yesterday's post about removing clutter from your life, here's one that focuses on one of the elements mentioned - procrastination. Again, it offers a Feng Shui perspective.
What does procrastination have to do with Feng Shui? Actually, everything! Feng Shui is about the free flow of energy in your environment and in yourself. It’s also about creating environments that support your success and pull you forward.
What’s the biggest thing that prevents that flow of energy? Clutter. And what creates clutter? You've got it - procrastination!
The article explores ten ideas for "creating an environment of action and abundance."
1. Get real about your procrastination habit.
2. Streamline your environment to help you focus on your priorities
3. Create accountability and support by making a commitment to others.
4. Become a person who keeps their word.
5. Are you waiting for the eleventh hour somewhere in your
life?
6. Schedule time for planning.
7. Create a physical environment that reflects who you
are.
8. Hang out with successful and positive people who uplift
you.
9. Take a renewal day each week to make space for
nourishment and inspiration.
10. Work with a Coach who will support you in bridging the
gap between where you are now and where you want to be.

I prefer the five minute rule. Commit to five minutes of work...when the five minutes are up ask yourself if you want to continue working.
This "trick" gets you into the habit of starting - the hardest part because of the anxiety of seemingly big or difficult tasks. Chances are, after five minutes you'll be into the "Flow" [see Csikszentmihalyi, (1990) to change your life] of the work and continue to produce for 20, 30, 45 minutes or more.
Here is a wonderful FREE online book for self-help issues based on scientific research called "Psychological Self-Help".

There are so many tricks the bank use to make their reward programs sound enticing. But usually it's not that easy to get a cash back bonus. Some of them want you to make your purchases at particular places. Or sometimes you have to spend a certain amount of money. Before applying for a credit card scrutinize the details at

That sounds great. The 5 minute rule looks amazing.Good Chi flows most effectively in places where it is comfortable and clean.
When you want Feng Shui and family to work together the best things you can do is to eliminate unnecessary items lying around. Its better to always remove the clutter from all areas.
