With all the new readers in the last few months, I thought I would do a "What does Curt do when he's not blogging?" post.
As a Passion Catalyst, "I help people identify their passions and create careers that ignite them" (as my elevator pitch goes). My focus is on helping people create careers that make them feel alive.
I work with people one-on-one, speak on various passion-focused topics, and do career passion workshops for both individuals and organizations. You can find more information at the Passion Catalyst home page.
My work is based on The Occupational Adventure GuideSM, the model I developed to provide a framework for the journey. You can get an overview of the model in this article.
At the heart of it all is my definition of passion: "The energy that comes from bringing more of YOU into what you do." Put simply, it's tapping into the energy that comes from being who you are. My work is about helping people figure out what that means for them, and how to apply that insight.
Looking for a do-it-yourself option? I wrote an e-book based based on my model called The Occupational Adventure Guide: A Travel Guide to the Career of Your Dreams that will lead you through the process. You can buy it here.
I have also been writing for Worthwhile magazine since its launch late last year. Worthwhile is a national business/life magazine founded by two Wall Street Journal veterans with a focus on "Purpose, passion and profit." (It's an amazing magazine, and if you haven't subscribed yet, you should!)
So there you have it - proof that there is life beyond the blog. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.
