Yesterday I got an e-mail from Larry Gurreri, who maintains a website called Travel Writing 101, suggesting that I might be interested in adding a link to it on my site. I suspect that he had my travel writing tips page in mind, but interestingly I had actually already marked the Travel Writing 101 site as potential fodder for a blog post here.
Clearly I'm meant to post a link.
So if you have that itch to try your hand at travel writing, check out this site. It's got some great insights to get you going, with short articles on:
Keeping a Journal
The Writer's Market
Finding the Formula
Trimming the Fat
Getting the "I" Out
Recycling Your Work
And if you want even more, there's a book for you to buy.
