Make your own luck

[After I wrote this, I realized I was posting it on Friday the 13th. Ha! How appropriate!]

We've all heard the saying that you make your own luck. The big question is how. This article on The Working Manager has an answer for you.

They break making your own luck into Five Luck Skills:

* Challenging assumptions
* Recognizing opportunities
* Using chance
* Taking risks
* Building networks

That's all fine and dandy, you might be thinking, but what about me? How do I start putting these ideas to work in my own life? You're in luck! The article also offers a personal action plan:

* Review your own luck.
* Talk to other people about their luck.
* Focus on developing one skill at a time.
* Keep a success journal.
* Make room in your life for luck.

Enjoy!
