Consider a whole-house fan. Because some nights are cool, but have no breeze, you may benefit from using a whole-house fan to force cool air through your home. A whole-house fan is permanently installed in your attic and draws cooler air into your home and forces warmed air out through the attic vents.

There are so many great ways of saving energy now. Consider switching energyprovider, many of the bigger companies are offering Green Tarrifs and of course change your light bulbs for energy saving bulbs. The little things all make a big difference!

Everybody should learn about electric cars as a solution. It’s amazing how far the technology has come. One of the main electric car companies, Zap, has delivered over 100,000 EV’s. (source: zapworld.com). EV’s cost 1 to 3 cents per mile to run, compare that to regular cars!

Installing a cool mist whole house humidifier is another great way to cut down on using the air conditioner. Humidifiers can serve as a kind of house fan on steroids since they circulate air but also spray a very fine, cool mist into the air. Cool mist humidifiers are great because they also ease dry skin problems or help asthma sufferers.
